Site survey and anchorage analysis
Synfaring provides accredited site surveys and anchorage analyses that meets the requirements set in NS9415:2021+AC:2024 and NYTEK23.
Site surveys
The site survey provides an overview of environmental loads at the site. This includes an assessment of:
Wind conditions
Current conditions
Wave conditions
Freezing and icing
Seabed mapping
The site survey is used in anchorage analyses to calculate forces on the aquaculture facility and the barge.
We are equipped with advanced current meters and modeling tools and have the necessary oceanographic expertise to conduct and analyze the measurements.
“The results of the site survey also form part of the baseline data for the facility certificate.”
Anchorage analyses
We have extensive experience with anchorage analyses for aquaculture. Anchorage analyses are crucial for ensuring the stability and safety of the aquaculture farm.
An anchorage analysis includes calculations of:
Breaking load for ropes and chains
Holding capacity of seabed anchors
Overtopping and unintended contact
Interaction with wellboats
Fatigue in chain components
Bending load
The environmental loads provided in the site survey form the basis of our anchorage analyses.
Our anchorage analyses meet the requirements of NS9415:2021+AC:2024 and NYTEK23. We are also accredited (type A according to ISO 17020) for such analyses.
Our team of engineers has extensive experience and a high level of expertise.
We deliver thorough analyses that ensure the anchoring of your aquaculture facility.
