Synfaring AS is an approved Enterprise of Competence type A-1 by the Norwegian Maritime Authority to perform first-time certification, recertification and annual inspections of lifting devices and equipment.

Mobile facilities
In accordance with the Regulations relating to cranes and lifting on mobile facilities (FOR-2017-12-21-2381)
Ships in open water
In accordance with the Regulations relating to cranes used for loading and unloading on ships in open water (FOR-1986-01-13-31)
Ships in sheltered water
In accordance with the Regulations relating to loading and unloading appliances on ships (FOR-1978-01-17-4)
Performed in accordance with ILO CONVENTION 152
Marine cranes – work boats and fishing vessel
Synfaring has A/B personnel approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority to perform first-time certification, recertification and annual inspections of cranes and appliances on work boats and fishing vessels.
Recertification of lifting appliances is required in situations such as:
First time installation
Material modifications to installed appliances
Material damage to load-bearing structures
Recertification shall be performed with load testing after five years.
We have load testing equipment which allows us to perform full inspections.
Full control with Onix
We use Onix, an online database where we register and store all the certificates, certificates of application and technical documents.
This provides immediate access to data, making it easier to comply with regulatory requirements regarding documentation, and avoid using defective equipment.
